How long do wax melts last in this warmer?

Our Little Wax Melts should last between 24 to 50 hours in this Silver Colour Changing LED Wax Warmer. Pick n Melt wax melts are made from natural soy wax. We cannot guarantee performance of any other wax melts than Pick n Melt wax melts which are all tested in the wax warmers we sell. Each scent is very different so the length and strength varies.

To get the best from your wax burner or warmer make sure to position it close to where air comes into the room rather than where it goes out. This can be true for the whole residence. Find where the air comes in and it will carry the scent right the way through to where it is vented filling the house at the same time. Use your wax warmers and burners for no more than 2-4 hours at a time. This will not only give you the best life of an electric warmer or save on tealights, but also allow your nose to reset. That means when you turn your warmer back on you will enjoy a fresh scent and your wax melts will last for much much longer. Consider using a plug timer.

How to change your wax melt

There are various ways you can change the wax in your warmer. You can do it whilst cold or warm. To do it cold, crack the wax with a tea spoon. The wax should crack all the way through and you should be able to easily remove it and dispose of it in the bin. You can also turn on your warmer and allow the bowl to warm a little. You should then be able to simple tip the wax into the bin pretty much solid just slippery underneath. NEVER pour hot wax down the sink. It will eventually block your sink.

DO NOT USE WATER WITH THIS ELECTRICAL ITEM. If you would like to use our fragrance oils with this warmer, you will need to start with a wax melt which will create a safe carrier for your fragrance oils. Each electric warmer comes with manufacturer safety instructions included. Please read them before using your lamp. Our warranty covers only the safe arrival of your lamp and that it works on arrival to warm your Pick n Melt wax melts. Please check your lamp on arrival and make sure it works. We unbox and test them all before sending but there is a small chance it can be damaged in transit. We strongly advise using the lamp only following the manufacturers instructions. We have a shop with all warmers, burners and humidifiers on display. We have 100's of local customers who feedback to us often. We welcome feedback. Below we offer some tips we have learned along the way. 1. Use the lamp for short periods of time. The manufacturer recommends 3 hours before turning off to cool. We recommend adding a plug timer to your warmer plug so it turns it off after 3 hours of use. This will extend the life of the warmer, make your wax melts last longer (thus costing you less) and will also continuously reset your nasal pallet meaning you will actually be able to smell them more often and more intensely. 2. Do not plug in your warmer on an extension cable which uses lots of big household items, like TVs etc. This can make your bulb blow more often when turning it on or flicking through the settings, especially if you are cheating the 3 hours the manufacturer advice and the bulb is extra hot. 3. Do not remove the bowl whilst the wax is still liquid. Turn off the lamp and allow the wax to cool a little. It will cool around the edges first (at least!) making it much safer to move it and clean it. Spilling wax inside your warmer would be difficult to clean and could damage the warmer. The wax should wipe out easy once set. If you cannot get it out when set, place the bowl in the freezer for a few minutes and then try again. 4. With touch lamps, do not flick through the settings fast, especially after it has been on for some time. Children tend to do this. But please remember you must keep the lamp out the reach of children and pets.
