What is Soy Wax?
Soy wax is a common, sustainable vegetable wax made from the oil of soy beans. Soy has many uses but most commonly relating to vegetarian and vegan diets . After harvesting the soy beans, they are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated.
Why do you use Soy Wax over other waxes?
There are various reasons. Some ethical and some practical. 1. Soy beans are a naturally renewable source and are Eco-friendly. 2. Soy wax burns cleaner and for longer with a cooler burning temperature. 3. Soy wax is non-toxic due to the nature of it’s extraction.
Where are your products made?
Why are there warning labels on your products?
Due to EU regulations all manufacturers of products which contain blends of chemicals are now legally bound to label their products within the guidelines of those EU regulations. The labels must outline relevant information about the contents of the product which is extracted from Safety Data sheets produced and provided to us by the specific chemical manufacturers. In our case this includes both essential oils and fragrance oils. We keep Safety Data Sheets on all of products which you can obtain copies of by emailing or calling should you wish more information on the product than is stated on the label or on the website prior to your purchase.
